The following form will guide you through the Dissertation Defense process. Please complete this form once the quarter and week you will defend is confirmed. Event logistics and flyers can be submitted at a later time. This form generate a ticket and email to kick off the documentation for your defense.

The purpose of this form is to ensure your event is listed in the This Week in Neuroscience Weekly email. Event must be submitted the Thursday before Monday's release.
@Health Sign in may be required. Completion of this form is required for non-routine events, new initiatives, or council/committee meetings with food. Events that have been approved by the program in the Summer can forego the request form.

The Neurosciences Graduate Program Diversity Committee in collaboration with GEPA Diversity is soliciting applications for financial support and student development travel awards for the current academic year. Funds for this grant undergo annual review and may be subject to reallocation during the academic year. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and applications should be submitted before June 1st annually.
Students may apply for the Master’s degree during Fall, Winter, or Spring Quarter. The process includes two steps: the Application and, if approved, the Final Report.
You must have completed all NGP course requirements and 36 total units (excluding rotation courses) in order to apply.
Please let your advisor know that you intend to apply for the Master’s degree.
MD/PhD students are not eligible.

| Doctoral Committee | A complete doctoral committee should include 4 members with UC San Diego faculty appointments. Faculty at Salk or Scripps may introduce committee approval nuances, so please inquire with the graduate program if needed. |
| Mailing Address | Ensure that your permanent address is correct in your student record through TritonLink. Your diploma will be mailed to your permanent address on file. |
